Winter Recap

Undaunted by the February storm that closed CMC for over a week, we had many activities and events for students, including a visit by a debut performance of a newly-minted set of stringed instruments, and a student showcase for the Monday Musical Club. There is more in store this spring: see the full events list and join us!

Instrument maker John Dickenson, apprentice with luthier Paul Schuback, showed his new matched set of violins, viola and cello; professional musicians played on them for students and other guests. Performers: Greg Ewer & Nelly Kovalev, violins; Kenji Bunch, viola; Hamilton Cheifetz, cello.

CMC violinists Rohan Pitt & Eliza Pitt, students of Erica Liebert, and Isabel Blodgett & Jonathan Tang, student of Scott Belleri, represented CMC by performing at the March meeting of the Monday Musical Club. The club made a Maestro-level donation to CMC's non-profit.
